About The Role
The Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development team, aligningtechnical efforts with business priorities, and driving timely delivery of high-quality softwaresolutions. The role requires strong technical depth, hands-on understanding of system architecture,and proven experience in coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Task Management Plan, prioritize, and manage development tasks and project timelines. Drive end-to-end project execution ensuring timely and quality delivery. Maintain documentation, sprint plans, project roadmaps, and status reports. Identify risks, anticipate blockers, and drive resolutions proactively.Team Leadership & Technical Coordination Manage and mentor a team of developers across front-end, back-end, and full-stack roles. Ensure effective task allocation, progress tracking, and closure of all development activities. Support developers with technical direction, requirement clarification, and problem-solving. Conduct regular team sync-ups and standups to maintain alignment.Stakeholder Alignment Act as the primary coordination point for product, business, QA, and leadership teams. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on requirements, timelines, and priorities. Facilitate clear and timely communication across departments.Implementation & Support Lead technical implementation of new features, enhancements, integrations, and productreleases. Work closely with QA, DevOps, and product teams during testing and deployment. Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Required Technical Skills
Strong understanding of software design patterns and best development practices. High-level architectural understanding of front-end, back-end, and database systems. Proven ability to review technical designs, architecture documents, and code structures. Must have been an active coder in the early career with hands-on development experience. Solid knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies, and project management tools (Jira, Trello,etc.).
Required Experience & Competencies
8–12 years of experience in software development, technical leadership, or engineeringmanagement. Ability to lead, mentor, and manage development teams. Exceptional planning, prioritization, and coordination skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic product environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in SaaS or AI-based product companies. Exposure to microservices, cloud environments, and scalable architectures. Certifications such as Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner, or PMP are a plus.
