Summary section:
A process Designer is responsible for analyzing, designing and improving business processes to enhance efficiency, and ensure high-quality performance. They work with cross-functional teams to map workflows, identify gaps, and create optimized process aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Must have between 5 years 10 years of experience in within the Oil & Gas industry, with a understanding of Oil & Gas and petrochemical symbols/Legends and drafting standards.
Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Utility Flow Diagrams, Material selection Diagrams and Safety Flow Diagrams using Auto cad and MicroStation is mandatory
Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using Smart Plant PID is mandatory
Adoptable in different client standards, Quality checking and documentation for
Auditing purpose and responsible for accuracy and completing work in a timely manner
Lead and manage a team of designers and engineers assigned to projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and project standards.
Analyse existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies.
Develop and implement process improvements that enhance productivity reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with standards, train team members, resolve quality issues, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement
Perform quality checks on deliverables to verify compliance with project and company standards.
Support the development of engineering data reports extracted from SPPID (e.g., line lists, instrument indexes)
Provide training and support to employees on new software
Continuously monitor processes to identify further opportunities for improvement
Work closely with designers to automate processes where possible
Strong knowledge of process Intelligent Software like SPPID and Aveva PID
Proficiency in process new software based on client requirements
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to design accuracy and consistency.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Detail – oriented with the ability to identify gaps and propose effective solutions
ITI, Diploma holders and Bachelor’s degree holders will be suitable for this position
