Design Head – Centrifugal Pumps

1. Design & Development Leadership

• Lead the design and development of centrifugal pumps conforming to API 610, ISO 5199, and other relevant standards.
• Supervise and guide the design team in preparing GA drawings, sectional drawings, and manufacturing details.
• Ensure all designs meet performance, reliability, and maintainability standards.

2. Engineering Calculations & Standards Compliance

• Perform hydraulic, mechanical, and structural calculations for pump components (shaft, bearing housing, impeller, casing, seal chamber, etc.).
• Ensure all design activities comply with API 610, API 682 (for seals), and customer specifications.
• Validate material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and design limits for rotating equipment.

3. Team & Project Management

• Manage the design team draftsmen, engineers, to deliver projects on time.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate closely with production, testing, and quality departments for smooth execution of new product designs.

4. Product Improvement & Innovation

• Lead initiatives for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and product standardization.
• Drive new product development (NPD) and customization for export and domestic markets.
• Implement modern design tools and simulation (CFD, FEA) for performance optimization.

5. Documentation & Client Support

• Ensure preparation of design reports, data sheets, performance curves, and technical catalogs.
• Support sales and marketing teams with technical inputs and client proposal drawings.

Conduct technical reviews and failure analysis (RCA) for product improvements

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical expertise in centrifugal pump design and API 610 requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, and CFD tools.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of materials, metallurgy, mechanical seals, and bearing systems.
• Strong communication and report-writing ability.

Qualification & Experience:

• B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. (Mechanical Engineering)
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in centrifugal pump design, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior design role.
• Experience with API 610 pump projects (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power sector) is essential.

Salary Range:

₹10 – ₹18 LPA (based on experience and technical proficiency)
