Job Description

Scope Of Work Design and Documentation Specialist : Creation and Maintenance of Comprehensive Manufacturing Documentation: Develop, organize, and maintain all critical manufacturing documents for every machine type, including: Detailed assembly drawings and exploded views. Step-by-step process sheets outlining manufacturing procedures. Thorough quality control checklists and inspection criteria. Clear and concise work instructions for shop floor personnel. Bills of Materials (BOMs) ensuring accurate component lists. Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and reflects the latest design revisions and manufacturing processes. Establish and maintain a robust system for document control, including versioning and revision history. Design Drawing Review and Interpretation for Documentation: Thoroughly review design drawings and specifications provided by the Development & Design Engineer and ensure they are clearly and accurately translated into manufacturing documentation. Identify any ambiguities, inconsistencies, or missing information in design drawings that could impact manufacturing. Collaborate with the Development & Design Engineer and Design Support Engineer to resolve any discrepancies between design and documentation requirements. Standardization of Documentation Formats and Processes: Lead the effort to create and implement standardized templates, formats, and procedures for all manufacturing documentation across different machine types. Ensure consistency in language, terminology, and visual presentation within all documents. Develop and maintain documentation guidelines and style guides for the design team. Bill of Materials (BOM) Accuracy and Management: Create, maintain, and manage accurate and complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all machine configurations. Ensure that BOMs are directly linked to design drawings and reflect the correct components, quantities, and specifications. Implement processes for tracking component changes and updating BOMs accordingly. Collaboration with R&D and Manufacturing: Work closely with the R&D team (led by Mr. Patel) to incorporate new findings and design changes into manufacturing documentation. Liaise with the manufacturing team to gather feedback on the clarity and usability of existing documentation and implement improvements. Address queries from the production floor related to documentation interpretation. Change Control and Documentation Updates: Manage the documentation aspect of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, ensuring that all approved design changes are accurately and promptly reflected in the manufacturing documentation. Communicate documentation updates to relevant departments. Training and Support for Documentation Users: Develop and deliver training sessions for production staff on how to effectively use and interpret manufacturing documentation. Provide ongoing support to production personnel regarding documentation-related questions and issues.  Continuous Improvement of Documentation Processes: Identify areas for improvement in the documentation creation, management, and distribution processes.
