Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Design Engineer (Electrical) for Solar EPC projects. The role involves complete electrical system design, engineering analysis, documentation, and coordination for both utility-scale and rooftop solar plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and power evacuation studies.
• Perform PV engineering: solar resource assessment, energy generation estimation, shading analysis, plant layout, and pitch analysis.
• Execute complete DC & AC electrical design including string sizing, inverter selection, cable sizing, protection systems, grounding, and earthing.
• Design substations (11kV–132kV), transformers, switchgear, CT/PT, VCB and related components.
• Prepare and review GA drawings, BOQs, DPRs, costing sheets, and all technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, and BIS standards; support FAT and SAT.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, procurement, business development, and project teams for all technical matters.
• Guide and support the design team; ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.
• Drive design optimization, cost-effective engineering, and support new technology/product development.

Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in PV Syst, PV simulation, and energy modelling.
• Excellent AutoCAD (2D/3D) skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google SketchUp.
• Good knowledge of electrical load analysis and data collection.
• Understanding of electrical safety norms and solar design standards.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical or related field.
• Highly experienced professional with 7+ years in Solar EPC/Consultancy.
• Must have independently handled 10 MWp+ ground-mounted and 1 MWp+ rooftop solar projects.
