Job Summary

The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing chemical process pumps and related systems. The role demands expertise in pump design, component detailing, and manufacturing support to ensure best-in-class product performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop chemical process pumps (Centrifugal, Magnetic Drive, etc.) using CAD software (SolidWorks).
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and part lists.
• Conduct performance calculations and ensure hydraulic efficiency.
• Coordinate with production, R&D, and quality teams for design validation and prototyping.
• Improve existing designs for cost reduction, performance enhancement, and manufacturability.
• Ensure design compliance with ISO, API, and relevant industry standards.
• Support after-sales/service teams with design data and failure analysis.
• Maintain documentation for all design revisions and engineering changes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of

  chemical process pumps

  or similar rotating equipment.
• Proficiency in

  SolidWorks

  AutoCAD

  , and related design software.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, materials of construction (PP, PVDF, PFA, PE-UHMW, etc.), and mechanical sealing systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes like machining, casting, and molding.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
