Job Title: Chief Design EngineerCompany: ALFA PUMPS PRIVATE LIMITEDLocation: HQ, Shyamal, AhmedabadExperience: Minimum 10+ Years in Pump Design / Capital Equipment IndustryDepartment: Design & EngineeringReports To: Managing Director⸻Job Overview:We are looking for an experienced Chief Design Engineer to lead our product and engineering design team at ALFA PUMPS. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge in pump design and engineering standards (e.g., ISO 2858, API), and lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-performance and cost-effective pump solutions across various industry sectors.⸻Key Responsibilities:• Lead the end-to-end design and development of centrifugal pumps, parts, and assemblies.• Ensure product compliance with international standards such as ISO 2858, ANSI, API, etc.• Supervise and mentor a team of 8+ Design Engineers.• Oversee design documentation including:• General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)• Cross-sectional drawings• Bill of Materials / Part Lists• Post-order documentation and customer submittals• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and sales teams for product development and order execution.• Approve final designs, technical calculations, and tolerances.• Drive improvements in design accuracy, manufacturability, and performance.• Review and implement design improvements for cost reduction and performance enhancement.• Handle selection software integration, design automation, and PLM system adoption.⸻Qualifications & Skills:• B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering.• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial pump design.• Expertise in centrifugal pump hydraulics, material selection, and component analysis.• Proficient in design software such as:• SolidWorks• Strong understanding of casting, machining, and fabrication processes.• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.⸻Preferred Industry Background:• Industrial / Chemical / Process Pumps• Capital Equipment Design• EPC / OEM Product Development⸻Remuneration:• Best in industry; commensurate with experience and capability.⸻To Apply:Please send your updated CV to:
