Deputy Regional Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the RSM/Sales Head in executing regional sales plans aligned with business targets.
  • Drive achievement of

    primary & secondary sales

    , volume, value, and distribution objectives.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance; initiate timely corrective actions.
  • Manage and strengthen the distributor network, including appointment of new distributors where required.
  • Ensure optimum stock availability, inventory hygiene, and healthy ROI for distributors.
  • Oversee distributor operations including onboarding, claims management, payouts, and process adherence.
  • Lead and develop

    ASMs, SOs, SRs, and off-roll field staff

    to improve productivity and execution quality.
  • Conduct regular market visits for coaching, joint working, and capability building of teams.
  • Ensure adherence to beat plans, coverage norms, and execution standards across markets.
  • Drive flawless execution of

    merchandising, visibility programs, promotions, and new product launches

  • Identify new business opportunities, white spaces, and micro-markets for growth.
  • Analyse sales trends, secondary/tertiary data, and competitor activity to improve decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting through

    SFA, sales MIS, and market intelligence systems

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in

    Channel Sales / General Trade

    within FMCG or consumer-driven businesses.
  • Strong capability in leading field teams and driving results through distributors.
  • Hands-on execution mindset with sound understanding of market dynamics.
  • Comfortable with data, reporting systems, and performance tracking.
  • High ownership, integrity, and long-term orientation toward business growth.
