Job Description


1. End-to-End Payroll Management (India)

  • Own and manage the complete payroll lifecyclefrom input collection (attendance, incentives, deductions, new joiners, exits) to salary processing and final release.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and timely remittance of statutory deductions, including

    PF, ESI, PT, TDS

    , etc.
  • Review and validate payroll registers, bank files, payslips, arrears, retro adjustments, and full & final settlements.
  • Address payroll-related queries from employees and internal stakeholders promptly and effectively.

2. Payroll Vendor Management & Governance

  • Independently review and validate payroll outputs delivered by outsourced vendors to ensure data accuracy and SLA compliance.
  • Conduct periodic audits of vendor payroll processes and reports.
  • Review and approve monthly payroll reconciliations and statutory filings.
  • Escalate discrepancies and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Manage and maintain a strong working relationship with the payroll service provider.

3. Regional Payroll Support (APAC)

  • Manage payroll for one APAC country on a rotational basis.
  • Coordinate with regional HR and Finance teams to gather inputs and ensure local regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with external payroll vendors or internal systems to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Prepare payroll reports for regional leadership, audits, and reviews.

4. Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Ensure payroll processes adhere to statutory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.
  • Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation including approvals, reconciliations, and statutory filings.
  • Support statutory, internal, SOX, and SOC audits.
  • Monitor vendor compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

5. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations and improve automation.
  • Drive simplification initiatives, digital tools, and enhancements to improve employee payroll experience.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and Finance teams to enhance system integration and reporting.
  • Support standardization of payroll processes across regions.

6. Analytics & Reporting

  • Generate and analyze payroll reports for HR, Finance, and leadership teams.
  • Track payroll KPIs and vendor performance metrics.
  • Support Finance with insights on payroll costs, headcount movements, and statutory liabilities.
  • Provide analytical inputs for decision-making as required.

7. Employee Payroll Query Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee salary and payroll-related queries.
  • Ensure timely resolution and high employee satisfaction.
