Deputy Manager – Operations & Maintenance

Purpose/Objective

Associate - AC is responsible for supporting the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of Alternating Current (AC) systems and related infrastructure in renewable energy facilities. This role involves executing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the reliability and efficiency of AC systems. The Associate - AC plays a key role in achieving operational excellence, managing resources efficiently, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Operational Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Execute routine maintenance tasks for AC systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AC infrastructure, including substations and transmission equipment. Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities, maintaining detailed records for reporting and compliance. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards, promoting a zero-accident work environment. Conduct safety checks on AC systems and participate in regular safety audits. Implement corrective actions based on audit observations and ensure compliance with IMS, ESG, and other safety practices. Resource & Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory related to AC systems, ensuring optimal stock levels and addressing aged inventory effectively. Assist in procurement processes and coordinate with vendors and contractors to meet technical and operational standards. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key performance metrics, such as Grid Availability (GA) and Plant Availability (PA), and provide inputs for performance optimization. Prepare and maintain detailed reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and issue resolutions. Technology Integration & Process Improvement: Support the integration of digital tools and technology for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of AC systems. Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency by implementing best practices in maintenance management. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, engineering, and procurement, to ensure seamless maintenance activities. Liaise with external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies, to address compliance and technical requirements. Team Collaboration & Development: Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical skills and maintenance expertise. Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous learning within the organization. Key Stakeholders - Internal: HODs Central cluster head, Cluster Head, Site Head, HO & Site O&M team Supporting functions - Techo-commecrial, Safety, HR, Regulatorsy, BD, Legal, TA, Project, Engineering, MAAS, , Finance, BEx, Insurance, etc. Key Stakeholders - External: Regulatory Authorities (e.g., CEIG, SLDC, NRLDC) Local and State Government Agencies Landowners and Community Groups Solar Equipment Suppliers and Contractors Environmental Agencies and Consultants Investors and Financial Institutions Industry Associations and Partners

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualifications: BE/B.tech/Diploma - Electrical or Electronics Work Experience: 8+ years of hands on experience.
