Assistant Manager- Operations & Maintenance

Purpose/Objective

Assistant Manager - AC is responsible for performing operational tasks, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting to ensure the efficient functioning of Alternating Current (AC) systems and related infrastructure in renewable energy facilities. This role focuses on executing maintenance schedules, resolving technical issues, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the reliability and performance of AC systems.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Operational Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks for AC systems to ensure continuous and efficient operation. Diagnose and resolve technical issues in AC infrastructure, including substations and transmission equipment. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per the defined schedule, ensuring proper documentation. Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct safety inspections on AC systems and participate in safety reviews and audits. Address compliance requirements based on audit findings and maintain adherence to IMS, ESG, and safety practices. Resource & Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory for AC system components, ensuring availability of required parts. Support procurement activities by coordinating with vendors and contractors to meet technical specifications. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor key metrics, such as Grid Availability (GA) and Plant Availability (PA), to support performance optimization efforts. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and issue resolutions. Technology Integration & Process Improvement: Utilize diagnostic tools and digital technologies for condition monitoring and predictive maintenance of AC systems. Implement best practices in maintenance management to enhance operational efficiency. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations, engineering, and procurement, to execute maintenance activities effectively. Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as contractors and regulatory bodies, to meet compliance and technical requirements. Team Collaboration: Participate in training programs and technical discussions to enhance maintenance expertise. Key Stakeholders - Internal: Site Head, HO & Site O&M team Techo-commecrial, Safety, HR, Regulatorsy, BD, Legal, TA, Project, Engineering, MAAS, , Finance, BEx, Insurance teams, etc. Key Stakeholders - External: Regulatory Authorities (e.g., CEIG, SLDC, NRLDC) Local and State Government Agencies Landowners and Community Groups Solar Equipment Suppliers and Contractors Environmental Agencies and Consultants Investors and Financial Institutions Industry Associations and Partners

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualifications: BE/B.tech/Diploma - Electrical or Electronics Work Experience: 5+ years of hands on experience.
