Your work profile

Job Title: Database Engineer

Skills

• Design, implement, and maintain relational databases (

  PostgreSQL or MySQL

  ).
• Design scalable, high-performance, and normalized database schemas based on business requirements.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
• Monitor and tune database performance using indexing, partitioning, and query optimization techniques.
• Analyze slow-running queries and implement optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and system architects to design database solutions.
• Perform data migration, transformation, and scripting as needed.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in database development and administration.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL or MySQL (experience with both is a plus).
• Strong command of SQL and database optimization techniques.
• Experience with database schema design and data modeling.
• Understanding of data security and compliance standards.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
