Job Description

Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA)

Location: Sector 138, Noida

Experience: 4+ Years (3+ Years Relevant Experience)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Role: We’re hiring a skilled Database Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize enterprise-grade databases. The role involves installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and ensuring high availability across environments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (B.E/B.Tech, MCA).

Technical Skills:

Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
Expertise in SQL development, query optimization, and data modeling
Knowledge of indexing, execution plans, EXPLAIN, and pg_stat_statements
Proficient in using tools such as Oracle AWR, SQL Profiler, etc.
Experience in patching, upgrades, and database migrations (on-prem/cloud)
Ability to perform disaster recovery and point-in-time recovery

Preferred Skills:

Experience working in cloud or hybrid environments
Knowledge of data encryption, masking, and compliance practices
Familiarity with automation scripts, monitoring tools, and audit logging
Strong understanding of user access controls, roles, and privilege management

Roles & Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain RDBMS systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
Manage database instances across development, testing, and production environments
Monitor and optimize database performance and query execution
Troubleshoot issues and implement performance tuning strategies
Conduct backup/restore operations and disaster recovery drills
Enforce data security, user access policies, and compliance controls
Perform database upgrades, patching, and version migrations
Ensure high availability and business continuity through best practices

Maintain database documentation and operational runbooks
