Job Title: Database Administrator Location: Mohali (Punjab) Role: Contractual - 12 Months Role Overview: As part of the core project delivery team, the Database Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to ensure high performance, security, and availability. The role will work closely with the Project Manager and Operations Manager to support smooth project execution and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: · Install, configure, and maintain database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or equivalent) · Monitor database performance, implement tuning measures, and ensure optimal operation · Manage database backups, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning · Ensure database security through access controls, encryption, and compliance with policies · Troubleshoot and resolve database issues to minimize downtime · Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and project managers for database-related needs · Plan capacity and scalability to meet future business requirements · Prepare and maintain technical documentation for database configurations and procedures Required Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in database administration Over 3 years managing large-scale database projects Proven experience handling enterprise-level databases with high availability and disaster recovery configurations Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech / MCA. · Must possess a relevant DBA certification (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) · Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Panjabi · Skills & Competencies: · Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization · Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL or equivalent procedural languages · Expertise in backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions (e.g., clustering, replication, Always On) · Experience with database monitoring tools and utilities · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills · Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities · Ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments
