The Database Administrator (DBA) at Optimum Info will acquire a functional understanding of all our products and develop expertise in designing databases. This role will play a key part in database design and management activities to maintain the performance of existing products and features, as well as ensuring optimal performance of new features developed for various product lines across our network development solutions. The position will be based in Noida, India. Key Responsibilities: - Understanding current database designs and deployment architectures for all product lines. - Reviewing and proposing steps for optimal database response, training and advising development and support teams on appropriate data handling techniques covering security, design, collection, query, and storage. - Tracking resource utilization, collecting performance metrics, and tuning server configuration for optimal performance. - Preparing and executing database management processes, including patching, maintenance plans, performance review plans, self-audits, etc. - Creating and maintaining documentation relevant to data management such as data flows, integration, data security policies, and procedures. - Creating and maintaining documentation relevant to database administration including disaster prevention and recovery processes and policies, access control, maintenance schedules, etc. - Reporting the status of data management and database administration activities and checklists in reviews with senior management. - Periodically identifying risks and challenges, defining mitigation and plans for continuous improvement in services. - Reviewing and executing DDL and DML scripts on production environments, maintaining logs of changes, and managing access to test and production databases. - Participating in incident management and RCAs. - Planning and executing approved activities in consultation with senior IT management. - Keeping track of industry standard and emerging tools, techniques, and practices and making appropriate recommendations for implementation. Desired Qualifications And Experience: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in administering Microsoft SQL Server databases hosted on cloud and RDS (on AWS) / managed services on any public cloud. - Work experience of 4 - 6 years with 3 - 5 years as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA. - Experience working with product development teams and understanding the role a DBA plays in maintaining application performance and availability. - Automotive domain experience will be beneficial. - Proficiency in MS Office tools like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
