Data Science Manager

What You'll be doing: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver cutting-edge data solutions aligned with business goals. Develop and execute data science strategies to address critical business challenges, leveraging predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and optimization. Design scalable data pipelines and workflows, ensuring the integrity, reliability, and security of data systems. Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable insights using statistical methods and advanced modeling techniques. Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership in a clear and impactful manner. Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data science and implement best practices. Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success and ROI of data science initiatives. Requirements: Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. Experience: 13-16 years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills. Proven track record of delivering large-scale data science projects that drive measurable business impact. Strong proficiency and advanced knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and deep learning frameworks and architecture (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong proficiency in ML, statistics, python or R, SQL, version control (e.g., Git), Ability to promote best coding practices, championing a culture of documentation/logging Thorough understanding of ML lifecycle, including necessary tradeoffs and associated risks Experience in healthcare (claims data knowledge) will be highly preferred Show more Show less
