As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data management systems on the Azure cloud platform. You will be responsible for creating and handling scalable data pipelines, assuring data quality, and maximizing data processing performance You will also work closely with other teams, such as data analysts, data scientists, and software developers, to provide them with the data they need to perform their job functions. We are looking for candidates with 8+ years of overall experience and a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in Azure.

Technical Skills (Must Have):

Azure Databricks, Spark, ADF (Azure Data Factory)

Optional Skills (Good to have) :

Spark, structure Streaming, SQL, GITLAB

Responsibilities :

• Designing and implementing data storage solutions on Azure
• Building and maintaining data pipelines for data integration and processing
• Ensuring data quality and accuracy through testing and validation
• Developing and maintaining data models and schemas
• Collaborating with other teams to provide data for analytics and reporting.
• ensuring data security and privacy prerequisites are followed.

Primary Skills :

We will require professional with a career reflecting technical abilities coupled with “hands-on” experience in a diverse range of software projects:

• Strong exposure on DataBricks, Azure Data Factory, ADLS
• Strong exposure to Spark and structure streaming.
• Exposure on Cloud Integration and container services (Azure)
• Oracle and MS-SQL experience, terraform will be an asset.
• Expertise in managing Repository (GITLAB).
• Clean coding and refactoring skills and Test-Driven-Development (TDD).
• Performance optimization and scalability.
• Know-how of Agile Development practices (Scrum, XP, Kanban, etc.)
• Adaptable, able to work across teams, functions, applications.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and client focused.
• Prior Financial/ Banking experience is desirable.

Secondary skills :

• Familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark and Hadoop
• Understanding of data modeling and schema design principles
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
