Overview

Data Engineer/Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering Focus

• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines

  using various ETL/ELT tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL).

• Manage and optimize our data warehouse/data lake infrastructure

  (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Databricks).
• Develop and implement

  data quality checks and monitoring

  to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Work with cloud services (e.g.,

  AWS, Azure, GCP

  ) to manage data storage, compute resources, and data workflows.
• Implement security protocols and measures for data protection and governance.

• Automate manual data processes

  to improve efficiency and reduce latency.

Data Analysis Focus

• Perform complex data analysis

  using SQL and other tools to identify trends, measure performance, and uncover business opportunities.

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports

  (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) that effectively communicate key metrics and insights to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders

  across departments (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Operations) to understand their data needs and define reporting requirements.

• Translate complex analytical findings

  into clear, concise, and compelling narratives and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to

  A/B testing analysis

  and data-driven product improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional experience

  in a Data Engineering, Data Analyst, or hybrid role.

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL

  for complex querying, performance tuning, and data manipulation.

• Strong programming skills in Python

  (or similar language) for data processing, scripting, and pipeline development.
• Extensive experience with

  designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines

  .
• Proven experience with at least one major

  Cloud Data Warehouse

  technology (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Solid understanding of

  data modeling techniques

  (e.g., 3NF, Dimensional Modeling, Data Vault).
• Demonstrated experience with

  data visualization and reporting tools

  (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with

  workflow orchestration tools

  like

  Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster

  .
• Familiarity with

  DevOps practices

  and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
• Experience with

  streaming data technologies

  (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
• Knowledge of statistical

  analysis and machine learning

  concepts.
