Data Analyst

Required Skills

• Computer or Information Science or equivalent field, DAMA Data certifications a plus
• 4+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture

• Experience in the Banking Domain is a must

Proficient in:

• Data Lineage / Modeling tools (ER Studio)
• Informatica toolsets including Data Archive, EDC, Oracle database
• Expert understanding of Data Warehouse design for high volume processing and performance
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, including Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree specialized in Information and Data Management and Design
• 3 years of deep data modeling and architecture experience

Skills:

• Data modeling, Data lineage, Data standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enforce data models and naming standards across all deliverables
• Reverse and forward engineer business legacy data models
• Communicate technical data integration requirements, designs, and decisions to IT and Business stakeholders, both verbally and through documentation
• Reduce data redundancy, support consolidation, transformation, and training of Business and IT members
• Design and develop data lineage with or without pre-existing documentation
• Create and maintain current and target state data integration models and flows
• Reverse and forward engineer Business data models to the level needed for business analytics usage
• Develop an understanding of Business processes and corresponding system architecture to:
• Identify source systems, understand data relationships, Determine impacted integrations
• Partner with Business Intelligence teams to define reporting goals and/or dashboard requirements
• Design and develop data models and solutions to meet reporting and analytics needs
• Ensure design documentation includes Business rules, Data security, Data quality, Lineage, Harmonization.
• Support testing and deployment activities as required
• Assist in developing and adhering to project timelines; perform other assigned project duties
• Serve as the single point of contact for data-related questions and quality issues
• Communicate technical and non-technical information clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally
• Present findings, recommendations, and specifications through reports and presentations to both Business and IT teams.
