Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our dynamic team in the furniture industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project blueprints, specifications, and market trends to prepare accurate cost estimates for furniture manufacturing projects. Your role will be critical in ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining the highest quality standards. Location: Ahmedabad, India Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years in Furniture industry or Interior Job Type: Full-time, Work from Office Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, overhead, and subcontractor expenses. Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to gather data for cost analysis. Conduct market research to assess material costs, labor rates, and industry trends. Prepare cost proposals and reports for management, clients, and stakeholders. Monitor project budgets throughout the lifecycle, identifying potential cost overruns and suggesting corrective actions. Maintain cost estimation databases and update pricing models regularly. Participate in supplier/vendor negotiations to obtain competitive pricing. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements: Proven experience as a Cost Estimator, preferably in the furniture manufacturing or related industry. Strong understanding of furniture materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques. Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Soliworks, Microsoft Excel, or similar tools). Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of cost control practices and budgeting processes.
