Cost Estimator

As a Cost Estimation Engineer, your role will involve conducting feasibility reviews of Plastic Injection moulded parts, providing manufacturing lead time and cost estimation for injection moulds, performing calculations to estimate the mould dimensions, construction, Gate/Runner Type & Location, Tonnage calculation (Moulding machine selection), and the requirement of cooling fixture / inspection gauge. You will also be responsible for understanding various plastic raw materials and their processing requirements & limitations, conceptualizing tool design including 2 plate mould, 3 plate moulds, HRS systems, various gating considerations, insert moulding, sliders, cams, and 2 stage ejector systems. Additionally, having a deep understanding of the process for injection moulding such as part wall thickness, drafts, etc., knowledge of Process flow for injection moulded parts, familiarity with mould manufacturing processes, Various machining methods, Machining time estimation, Heat treatment process, and Steel selection for critical mould parts, preparation of detailed mould manufacturing plans with periodic reviews and updates, understanding injection moulding process parameters, proficiency in Quality documents such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, 5QC Tools & Problem-solving techniques, process understanding to develop parts of expected quality with minimum cost and time, continual improvements in processes to enhance Quality, cost, delivery, and Timeline. Additionally, having knowledge in metal part (Sheet metal, Fabrication, Fasteners) development and process understanding would be beneficial for this role. Qualifications required: - Educational background: B.Tech/BE/ Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineer, NTTF (Tool & Die Making) - Preferred experience in Toolroom, Tooling Design, Plastic Product Development (NPD) is beneficial for this role.,
