We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Cost Estimator to join us in delivering exceptional value to our clients. Role Overview: As a Cost Estimator at Estimabuild, you will play a key role in analyzing project requirements, conducting detailed quantity surveying, and preparing accurate cost estimates. Your expertise will support data-driven decision-making and project success. Proficiency in MS Office and experience with quantity takeoffs will set you apart as an ideal candidate for this position. Key Responsibilities: • Perform detailed quantity surveying to determine the materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction projects. • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and project budgets using industry best practices. • Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other documentation to perform takeoffs (if applicable). • Collaborate with the project team to review project requirements, constraints, and timelines. • Maintain and update pricing databases to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors to validate project assumptions. • Prepare and present reports summarizing cost data and project feasibility. • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency in estimating processes. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required). • 2+ years of experience in cost estimating or quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). • Experience with takeoff tools and software (preferred). • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
