Cost Estimator

As a Tendering and Estimation Specialist, your role involves reviewing tender documents, scope of works, and checking the feasibility for qualification and financial criteria. You will be responsible for preparing presentations, risk matrix, and providing information to top management to seek approval for bidding. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct site investigations and prepare logistics plans - Identify nearby sources for bulk materials and attend pre-bid meetings to seek clarifications from clients - Float enquiries, collect offers, negotiate with vendors, and analyze price comparisons - Update costing works and ensure risk and opportunity are identified in proposal pricing to mitigate inherent risks during tender submission - Coordinate with internal departments for project construction plans, schedules, staff, manpower, equipment deployments, organization charts, method statements, and infrastructure requirements - Prepare tender review information to ensure adherence to methodology, pricing, and margin contingency - Develop technical and commercial bids as per tender requirements - Perform rate analysis with logical risk factor pricing - Prepare documents for e-tendering, qualification criteria, scope of work, floating RFQs to various vendors/contractors, collecting quotations, preparing comparative statements, and meeting tender deadlines - Estimate and detail costing, follow up with clients regarding orders, and update details in the ERP system - Prepare BOQ/Quantity analysis from drawings, actual site measurement sheets, bill quantities, and verify with the project operations team - Check and verify extra and excess quantities with architects and senior engineers, and prepare comparison statements of the bills - Ensure measurement checks post-completion of projects and liaise with stakeholders for all related work - Perform other activities as per management requirements Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Proven experience in tendering, estimation, and pricing within the construction industry - Strong analytical and negotiation skills - Excellent communication and organizational abilities - Proficiency in using ERP systems for data management In addition to the detailed job responsibilities and qualifications, the company offers Provident Fund as a benefit.
