About the Role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant who will play a critical role in driving business efficiency through data analysis, cost insights, and accurate reporting. This role goes beyond managing accounts—it is about connecting financial data to business outcomes and enabling leaders to act with confidence.

Job Description / Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide actionable insights: Deliver timely reports on expenses, revenues, and profit margins that guide business and operational decisions.

• Analyse and optimize: Conduct cost audits, variance analysis, and inventory reviews to identify cost drivers and areas for improvement.

• Enable smarter planning: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly costing reports, along with quarterly forecasts for management review.

• Allocation of Common Costs: Develop plans for allocation of common costs.

• Branch-wise / Product-wise Reports: Prepare and submit branch-wise and product-wise reports with allocation of costs.

• Strengthen financial discipline: Ensure accuracy in accounting, compliance with principles, and support month-end closing activities.

• Support efficiency: Partner with Business, Finance, and Procurement teams to recommend cost-effective solutions and enhance processes.

• Build expertise: Develop a deep understanding of cost structures and processes to help the business achieve sustainable growth.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in cost accounting, cost analysis, or a similar role.

• Qualifications: CA, CMA, Inter-CA/CMA or relevant expertise.

• Business Acumen: Strong experience partnering with cross-functional teams.

• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret numbers, highlight insights, and support decision-making.

• Communication: Clear and structured in presenting data to management.

• Work Style: Detail-oriented, independent, and proactive.
