Cost Accountant

Role & responsibilities

1. Product Costing & BOM Analysis

• Prepare, review, and update

  Bill of Materials (BOM)

  and routing data for solar cell manufacturing.
• Validate standard costs and ensure accurate material, labour, and overhead absorption.
• Monitor WIP valuation and ensure correct assignment of cost elements.

2. SAP Costing & Month-End Closures

• Independently manage

  month-end costing run in SAP

  , including:
• Standard cost estimate release
• Actual cost calculation
• Material ledger closing
• WIP calculation and settlement
• Perform reconciliation of

  SAP CO, FI, MM, and PP

  data for accurate cost postings.

3. Cost Analysis & Variance Reporting

• Analyze

  material variances, production variances, yield losses

  , and report insights to management.
• Track key cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Support budgeting and forecasting through detailed cost analysis.

4. Cost Reconciliations & Control

• Perform regular

  inventory, consumption, and cost reconciliations

  between SAP modules.
• Ensure accuracy of GR/IR accounts, material movements, and stock adjustments.
• Coordinate with Production, SCM, and Finance teams to resolve cost discrepancies.

5. Process Improvement & Compliance

• Recommend improvements in costing processes, SAP configuration, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support internal/external audits with required costing data and documentation.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of

  SAP CO, MM, PP

  modules
• Experience with

  Material Ledger, Standard Costing, Actual Costing

• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Analytics tools)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently during month-end close
• Good communication and coordination abilities
