About The Role
As an Content Writer at Optimite, you’ll craft compelling, brand-aligned email content that drives engagement and conversions for our clients. You’ll manage the end-to-end process of email content creation, from ideation and planning to execution and quality control, ensuring every message resonates with its audience.In addition to client work, you’ll dedicate 20% of your time to in-house content initiatives, such as creating blogs, Quora responses, or thought leadership articles, to amplify Optimite’s voice and authority.

What will you do?
Role
As the Content Writer, you’ll own the lifecycle of email content creation and contribute to Optimite’s in-house content strategy. Your role will include the following:
Copywriting & Storytelling (45%)
- Craft persuasive email content, including subject lines, preheaders, body copy, and CTAs that drive opens, clicks, and conversions.
- Tailor messaging to client personas and campaign goals while maintaining brand consistency across all communications.
- Develop in-house content such as blogs, Quora responses, and articles to enhance Optimite’s industry presence.
- Collaborate with designers to ensure cohesive and impactful email campaigns that align with visuals.
- Metrics you’ll own:
- Click-Through Rate (CTR): Increasing clicks through compelling email content.
- Conversion Rate: Driving measurable actions like purchases or sign-ups.
- Engagement Metrics: Improving open rates and reducing email churn.
Planning & Collaboration (35%)
- Work closely with account managers, and designers to align email content with broader campaign objectives.
- Contribute to planning email sequences, promotional schedules, and messaging frameworks for clients.
- Brainstorm and plan in-house content projects to establish Optimite as a thought leader in email marketing.
- In addition to client work, you’ll dedicate 20% of your time to creating both short-form and long-form content such as; social media posts (when required), infographics, Quora/Reddit responses, blogs, and thought leadership articles to amplify Optimite’s voice and authority.
- Metrics you’ll own:
- Campaign Effectiveness: Meeting or exceeding client KPIs.
- Content Calendar Adherence: Ensuring timely content delivery.
- Collaboration Effectiveness: Measuring feedback from cross-functional teams.
Proofreading & Quality Control (20%)
- Review and edit all email content to ensure grammatical accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Conduct final checks for email formatting, personalization tags, and overall functionality before deployment.
- Maintain quality control to ensure all deliverables meet client and in-house standards
- Reducing the number of revisions needed per deliverable.
- Metrics you’ll own:
- Error Rate: Minimizing errors in client and in-house content.
- Content Approval Time: Reducing time required for content approval cycles.
Must Have
- 3+ years of experience in content writing, with a focus on email marketing or copywriting.
- Experience working with eCommerce brands or in an agency setting.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to craft engaging, high-performing email content.
- Knowledge of email marketing metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates) and how copy influences performance.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent proofreading and editing abilities.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot.
- Ability to adapt writing style to match diverse client brands and personas.
Good to have
- Familiarity with AI writing tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for generating or refining content ideas.
- Experience with A/B testing for email elements like subject lines, CTAs, and body content.
- Familiarity with tools like Grammarly, Hemingway, or similar software for content refinement.
- Knowledge of SEO principles to improve discoverability of in-house content.
