Role Description
As a Content + Creative Lead, you will take ownership of the content and creative vertical within the Marketing department. This is an on-site leadership role in Coimbatore, ideal for a professional with 6-8 years of experience in content strategy, creative execution and team leadership. You will drive the creation, curation and amplification of compelling content across channels, aligned with VMax’s mission and business goals.
Roles And Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Development
- Define and lead the overall content strategy aligned with brand positioning and marketing objectives.
- Develop engaging, data-driven content plans for multiple platforms — web, social media, video, email, and offline.
- Oversee the creation of high-quality written, visual, and video content that supports brand storytelling and campaign goals.
- Creative Direction & Campaign Ideation
- Conceptualize and execute creative campaigns that enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with the design and digital teams to develop impactful creative assets and brand narratives.
- Ensure all content and creatives reflect a unified tone, visual language, and brand identity.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of content writers, designers, and creative professionals, fostering innovation and accountability.
- Encourage a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the content and creative vertical.
- Coordinate with marketing, digital, and growth teams to align messaging across all campaigns.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Track and analyze content performance using key metrics and insights from analytics tools.
- Refine and optimize creative strategies based on audience response, engagement, and conversion data.
- Maintain documentation and reports on campaign performance and creative output efficiency.
Innovation & Trend Integration
- Stay current with emerging content formats, storytelling techniques, and digital trends.
- Experiment with new creative mediums such as motion graphics, reels, podcasts, and interactive content.
- Introduce new tools or processes to streamline content creation and enhance quality.
Brand Governance & Quality Assurance
- Maintain brand consistency across all content touchpoints and campaigns.
- Review all creative deliverables for accuracy, messaging alignment, and adherence to brand tone.
- Work with external partners, freelancers, or agencies to ensure brand standards are maintained.
Key Requirements
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
- Experience: 6-8 years in content creation, creative leadership, or related roles within consumer-facing or digital businesses.
- Content Strategy: Ability to define, implement and scale content strategies across multiple formats (written, visual, video).
- Creative Execution: Strong portfolio showcasing creative work—campaigns, digital assets, storytelling, social media.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in leading, mentoring and managing creative or content teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in content creation tools, video/editing tools, social media platforms and analytics.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to analyse content performance metrics, derive insights and refine strategy accordingly.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
