Job Summary

The Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with musculoskeletal disorders, trauma, joint issues, and orthopedic conditions. The role involves both outpatient and inpatient care, performing elective and emergency surgeries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient orthopedic consultations.
  • Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgeries including fracture fixation, joint replacement, arthroscopy, spine surgeries (as per expertise), and trauma management.
  • Manage and supervise post-operative care, rehabilitation, and follow-up treatment.
  • Attend to emergency and trauma cases in coordination with the casualty/emergency department.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, anesthetists, radiologists, and other specialists for holistic patient management.
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Participate in clinical audits, CMEs, academic sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor junior doctors, residents, and paramedical staff.
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety, and ethical medical practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBBS + MS/DNB (Orthopedics) from a recognized medical college/institution.
  • Registration with Rajasthan Medical Council / MCI / NMC.
  • Minimum 1 to 4 years of post-MD/MS/DNB experience (including fellowship training in joint replacement, arthroscopy, or trauma surgery will be an added advantage).
  • Proven experience in managing trauma and emergency orthopedic cases.
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to handle emergency/trauma cases independently.
