Computation and Simulation Engineer

As part of the Computation and Simulation team, you will work on complex structural analysis, design validation, and simulation activities across multiple product lines. You will provide technical leadership in FEA, material behavior, fatigue, and structural reliability, ensuring robust and optimized designs. This role supports the structural development of special-purpose equipment such as blowers, fillers, and labelers, requiring a strong understanding of machine dynamics, hygienic design, and high-speed mechanical systems.

Your Mission

• Perform advanced static, dynamic, nonlinear, thermal, vibration, impact, and fatigue analyses using FEA tools (ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS APDL.).
• Develop high-fidelity simulation models of components and assemblies used in blowers, fillers, labelers, and other special-purpose machinery.
• Analyse structural integrity under process loads, pressure cycles, thermal gradients, rotating equipment forces, and high-speed mechanisms & different Lifting scenarios.
• Validate simulation assumptions and correlate FEA results with test data and in-field measurements.
• Conduct durability, reliability, buckling, and large-deformation studies to support long-term equipment performance.
• Collaborate with design, R&D, process, and manufacturing teams developing blowing machines, filling lines, labelling equipment, and associated mechanical systems.
• Review CAD designs to improve strength, stiffness, vibration behavior, fatigue life, and overall robustness.
• Support prototyping and product testing on high-speed bottling and packaging equipment and interpret instrumented test results.
• Develop structural design guidelines and FEA standards tailored for rotating, reciprocating, and high-dynamics machinery.
• Lead structural simulation tasks for major machine-development programs (blowers, fillers, labelers).
• Innovate structural analysis workflows, automation scripts, and reliability prediction methods.

Level of education, computer skill and languages:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Language requirement: English (French or Italian is a plus)

Required experience and skills:

• 4 - 8 years of structural analysis experience, preferably in industrial or high-speed machinery.
• Strong expertise with FEA tools: ANSYS Mechanical / Ansys APDL, Discovery & Space claim SolidWorks Simulation, SolidWorks Motion etc.
• Experience working with blowers, fillers, labelers, or similar industrial/special-purpose equipment (highly desirable).
• Deep understanding of solid mechanics, vibration, fatigue, materials, and nonlinear behavior.
• CAD proficiency: SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar.
• Programming/scripting for automation (Python, MATLAB, APDL).
• Should have good knowledge of AI /ML, RPA, digital twin etc.
• Familiarity with hygienic design principles and food/beverage machinery standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering, FMEA, DOE, and validation plan.
• Good knowledge of SAP
