Job Description

Richman Fincap Limited is seeking an experienced Head – Collections to lead and strengthen our end-to-end debt recovery operations for personal loans and other unsecured loan products. The role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of collection strategies across DPD buckets, and strict adherence to regulatory and ethical collection practices. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and scale the collections function across early, mid, and late delinquency buckets (0–30, 31–90, 90+ DPD). Design and execute collection strategies to improve resolution rates, reduce NPAs, and optimize cash flows. Manage and mentor in-house collection teams and ensuring productivity and discipline. Set collection targets, monitor daily performance MIS, and drive accountability across teams. Ensure 100% compliance with RBI guidelines, fair practice codes, and internal policies. Handle high-value, complex, and escalated recovery cases, including legal and pre-legal matters. Coordinate closely with credit, risk, legal, and operations teams to improve portfolio quality. Oversee skip tracing, field collections, digital collections, and tele-collections strategies. Evaluate and improve vendor performance, negotiate commercials, and control recovery costs. Analyze portfolio trends, delinquency drivers, roll rates, and recommend corrective actions. Drive adoption of technology-driven collections (dialers, field apps, analytics, payment links). Support management in building scalable and ethical recovery frameworks for unsecured lending. Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in debt recovery / collections, specifically in personal loans or unsecured lending. Proven experience in team handling and leadership roles within NBFCs, fintechs, or banks. Strong hands-on exposure across all delinquency buckets. Sound knowledge of RBI regulations, fair collection practices, and legal recovery processes. Ability to handle pressure, drive results, and manage large field and tele-collection teams. Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience working with collection agencies and legal partners is mandatory. Proficiency in MIS, portfolio analysis, and collection tools. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in NBFC / FinTech unsecured loan portfolios. Exposure to digital lending and tech-enabled collections. Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
