Role Objective:

The Zonal / Cluster Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple warehouse operations within the assigned zone/cluster. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and customer focus to ensure smooth warehouse functioning, cost optimisation, compliance, and consistent service delivery across all locations. The position will lead warehouse managers and their teams to achieve operational targets, drive continuous improvement, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership

• Oversee day-to-day functioning of multiple warehouses in the zone.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety guidelines, quality, and compliance standards.
• Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, turnaround time, inventory accuracy, cost per unit, and productivity.

Team Management & Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and manage Warehouse Managers and their respective teams.
• Conduct performance reviews, training needs assessments, and succession planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary escalation point for clients in the zone.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure service levels and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with central operations, transport, finance, and HR teams for smooth execution.

Process & Performance Improvement

• Identify gaps in processes and implement best practices across warehouses.
• Implement 5s
• Drive lean initiatives, automation, and technology adoption for efficiency.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Financial & Cost Control

• Manage operating budgets for the zone, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Optimize resource utilization, manpower planning, and vendor management.
• Ensure profitability through productivity improvements and cost savings.

Compliance & Safety

• Enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards across all warehouses.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Implement risk management and security protocols.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
• Experience in

  implementing 5S, Six Sigma and Lean practices

  in warehousing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to drive KPIs and process improvements.
• Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and MS Office tools especially advance Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate / Postgraduate.
• Age between

  30 to 50 years

• Minimum 58 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 23 years in a cluster / zonal leadership role.
• Experience in 3rd Party Logistics / Contract Logistics industry preferred.
• Should be willing to travel extensively within the assigned zone
• Must own a Two Wheeler / 4 Wheeler
• Good communications skill in

  English, Hindi & Malayalam
