The GM - Project Estimation and Implementation will function as the Warehouse Operation Profit Center Head for the company's warehousing and logistics business. He will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and profitability of operations across all warehouses and logistics activities. This role requires a strong balance of operational expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership to drive business growth. Role & responsibilities Project Estimation & Implementation Work closely with Business Development team during bidding stage for prospective customers in finalizing commercials. Lead feasibility studies, site surveys, and infrastructure planning for new warehouses and client requirements as a team. Engage with Clients where and when required during pre-sales, project planning, and execution phases to assure confidence and satisfaction. Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for timely project completion. Design optimized warehouse layouts, process flows, and material handling solutions. Oversee end-to-end implementation of new warehouses and logistics projects. Manage timelines, budgets, contractors, vendors, and resources for project rollout. Coordinate civil works, racking, MHE procurement, WMS/SAP integration, and manpower onboarding with HR as a team. Collaborate with the team for smooth transition into live operations. Track project progress with dashboards, MIS reports, and escalation management. Warehouse Operations Lead day-to-day warehouse and logistics operations ensuring SLA adherence. Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, and turnaround time. Implement best practices in warehouse design, layout, and process flow to increase efficiency. Monitor KPIs and ensure operational targets are consistently achieved. Client Relationship Management Build & maintain strong client relationships and act as the single point of accountability for clients. Identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities with existing clients. Conduct periodic business reviews with clients, presenting operational and financial performance where required. People Leadership Lead and mentor a team of Regional/Zonal/Warehouse Managers/Incharges, Supervisors, and support staff. Ensure manpower productivity and manage workforce planning. Build a performance-driven culture aligned with profitability goals. Process & Compliance Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and company SOPs. Drive digitization and automation initiatives (WMS, SAP, reporting dashboards) where required. Ensure regular audits utilizing Zonal/Regional/Cluster Managers to reduce shrinkage, leakage, and operational risks. Business & Profitability Manage the P&L (bringing cost efficiency through better productivity) for warehouse operations across multiple client accounts. Drive revenue growth through client retention, account expansion, and new business opportunities. Optimize operating costs (manpower, space utilization, infra, utilities, transport) to maximize margins. Negotiate contracts, commercials, and service terms with clients and vendors. Implement cost-control measures and monitor profitability of client at warehouse level. Preferred candidate profile Educational Qualification : Any Graduate Experience :15+ years of overall experience in 3PL / SCM, with at least 10 years in a leadership role managing warehouse and logistics operations. Languages : English , Hindi , Malayalam Age : 36 - 52 Yrs Proven experience in project estimation, implementation, and operational management across multi-client warehousing or 3PL setups. Strong background in P&L management, cost optimization, and driving process efficiencies in warehouse operations. Deep knowledge of warehouse operations, layout design, material handling equipment (MHE), racking systems, and inventory management best practices. Sound understanding of SLA management, safety standards, statutory compliances, and operational risk mitigation. Skilled in project planning, budgeting, and execution, including civil works, IT integration, and vendor coordination. Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), SAP, reporting/dashboard tools and advanced Excel. Strong team leadership and people management skills experience managing large teams across locations (Regional/Zonal/Warehouse Managers, Supervisors etc.). Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (clients, vendors, Transporters, internal teams). High level of ownership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving ability. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment. Willingness to travel frequently to warehouse sites and client locations. Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate
