Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Civil Estimation & Tendering Engineer responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, rate analyses, and tender submissions for civil contracting projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, deep understanding of civil construction methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with project, procurement, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation & Costing

Study project drawings, specifications, tender documents, and scope of work thoroughly.

Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates for civil, structural, and architectural works.

Conduct rate analysis for materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overheads.

Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and price comparisons.

Tendering & Documentation

Review tender requirements, eligibility criteria, and deliverables.

knowledge of tender preparation including technical submissions, compliance statements, commercial bids, and supporting documents.

Prepare tender checklists, timelines, and ensure accurate & timely submission.

Liaise with government tender platforms (GeM, e-procurement portals, state portals) for downloading/uploading bids.

Coordination & Support

Work closely with planning, execution, and procurement teams to finalize project feasibility and costing.

Organize internal meetings for bid strategy, risk analysis, and pricing decisions.

Clarify technical queries with consultants/clients during tendering.

Market & Project Analysis

Conduct market rate studies and maintain updated price lists for materials, labor, and machinery.

Track upcoming tenders, government projects, and competitor pricing trends.

Prepare tender performance reports, win/loss analysis, and recommendations.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of civil construction methodologies, materials, and execution practices.

Excellent skills in quantity take-off, rate analysis, and cost estimation.

Proficient in reading technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and estimation software (Candy/Primavera/CostX) is an advantage.

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tender deadlines.
