About the Role

Cisco Data Center / ACI Network Engineer

  • Design, implement, and support

    Data Center networks

    using Cisco technologies
  • Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of

    Cisco Nexus and ACI networks

  • Support

    legacy to ACI migration projects

    and DC refresh initiatives
  • Handle

    L2/L3 escalations

    , customer communication, and high-pressure scenarios
  • Participate in

    planned activities, migrations, and PE window support

  • Provide guidance and escalation support to

    L2 NOC teams

  • Engage in capacity planning, optimization, and architecture discussions
  • Work on DC architectures such as

    Active-Active DC, DC-DR

    environments

Mandatory Technical Skills

Nexus 9000, 3000, 7000/5000, Cisco ACI

ACI & VXLAN

BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MST, PVST, L2 switching

Nexus & ACI networks

Legacy to ACI Migration

Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NX-OS

IP/MPLS

CCNP – Mandatory

Additional / Advantage Skills

  • Cisco

    ASR 9K (IOS-XR)

  • Cisco

    ASR 1K (IOS / IOS-XE)

  • ACI

    Multi-Pod, Multi-Site, PBR

  • L4–L7 integration:

    Load balancers, Firewalls

  • Virtualization concepts and tools
  • Fundamentals of

    Cisco SD-WAN

Functional Requirements

  • Ability to

    design and architect DC networks

  • Strong

    customer-facing and escalation-handling

    skills
  • Experience working in

    high-availability, high-pressure environments

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support

    planned events, migrations, and outages

  • Skills in conflict management, negotiation, presentation, and documentation
