Job Description Job Purpose Drive improvement in the dispatch team by post-facto analysis, identifying best practices, and flagging deviations from operating standards to ensure operational excellence. Key Accountabilities Strategic Leadership in Dispatch Operations: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance Flight Dispatch operations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and Policies. Conduct post-facto analysis of dispatch processes, identifying deviations from best practices and areas for improvement. Assist in supervision and control of all flights, operational control functions and exercise functional and administrative control. Obtain feedback from pilots on dispatch related issues, and refer to Head DOPs, when required. Participates in the FMC [Fuel management Committee] in Flight Operations to formulate, manage and initiatives to optimize Fuel Usage and Flight Cost in Flight Operations. Participate in Conflict Risk Assessment Zone Committee and provide Flight Dispatch with routing options, keeping suitable mitigations in place. Provide performance insights and recommendations to the Head of DOPs for continuous improvement. Performance Management and Optimization: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch efficiency, on-time performance, and safety compliance, implementing corrective actions as needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize dispatch processes, minimize delays, and enhance operational efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the COE Dispatch team to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned from post-facto analysis of dispatch operations. Collaborate with external partners, such as regulatory authorities and industry organizations, to stay updated on aviation regulations and industry standards impacting dispatch operations. Leadership and Talent Development: Provide effective leadership and mentorship to the COE Dispatch team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. Identify talent gaps and training needs within the team, developing and implementing training programs to enhance skills and capabilities. Encourage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members to foster a high-performance culture within the COE Dispatch department. Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR. Skills Required for the role.
