Role Summary

The Manager - Accounts will be a key member of the finance department, responsible foroverseeing the entire spectrum of accounting operations, culminating in the accurate andtimely preparation of financial statements. This role involves managing the audit process,ensuring statutory compliance, and providing critical financial insights to management for ourinvestment activities. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong foundationin accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting:
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes in a timely and
accurate manner.
  • Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance
Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and notes to accounts) in compliance with Indian
Accounting Standards (Ind AS) applicable to NBFCs.
  • Oversee all general ledger activities, including accounting for investment transactions,
fair valuation.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Ensure robust internal financial controls (IFC) are in place and operating effectively.
  • Audit & Compliance:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for statutory, internal, and RBI auditors.
  • Plan and coordinate the entire audit process, ensuring all required data, schedules,
and reports are prepared and submitted on time.
  • Address audit queries effectively and facilitate a smooth and efficient audit
completion.
  • Ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations and improvements to
financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory regulations, including GST, TDS, and
RBI regulations.
  • Taxation & MIS:
  • Oversee the computation and filing of monthly/quarterly GST returns and annual
returns.
  • Ensure accurate deduction and timely deposit of TDS and filing of TDS returns.
  • Assist in providing data and support for income tax assessments and other tax-related
matters.
  • Prepare and present monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports,
including portfolio performance, variance analysis, and key financial highlights forsenior management.

Required

Qualifications and Skills

  • CA (Inter) / Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in a core accounting and finance role.
  • Proven experience in independently handling the finalization of accounts and
managing statutory audits, preferably in an NBFC.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), particularly those
relevant to financial instruments.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and/or Tally.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel.

Desired

  • A fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is a plus.
  • Experience in the NBFC or financial services sector is highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
