Job Description

Role Overview: As a Channel Sales Manager at PhonePe Limited, your main objective will be to drive the acceptance of PhonePe's products and services through various channel partners across urban and rural markets in India. You will be responsible for managing relationships with channel partners, acquiring new partners, driving sales, and ensuring service within your assigned geographical area. Your role will be crucial in increasing PhonePe's market share in the channel business. You will lead a team to achieve targets across multiple product lines, including devices, financial instruments, and revenue generation. You will report to the State Heads. Key Responsibilities: - Expand the partner network by driving all products and services. - Ensure quality execution through audits and review mechanisms. - Conduct partner meetings to present products and handle escalations. - Monitor competition within the assigned territory and provide insights to the leadership team. - Drive partner acquisition and productivity for market leadership. - Ensure proper placement of devices to maximize asset utilization. - Manage collateral and devices to prevent loss or leakage. - Ensure channel partners adhere to company guidelines and ways of working. - Recruit new channel partners and engage existing partners to ensure profitability. - Keep partners informed and equipped with new product launches and updates. - Enhance brand visibility in the assigned territory using collaterals provided by the organization. - Participate in promotional events and BTL activities to build customer relationships. - Understand trackers and share relevant information with channel partners. - Analyze basic data from the trackers to drive business. - Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders among channel partners. - Ensure infrastructure, involvement, and investment from channel partners. - Address partner queries and resolve issues promptly. - Manage freelancers alongside channel partners. - Provide on-the-job training to improve frontline sales team performance. - Monitor KPIs and coach team members regularly. - Work towards retention and engagement of the frontline sales team. - Drive execution rigor by observing team performance in the market. - Motivate the team by communicating monthly schemes and incentives. Qualifications Required: - MBA from a Tier 2/3 campus with a good academic record. - 3-5 years of experience in channel sales managing a sales team (off-roll/on-roll). - Experience in Telecom, FMCG, and Retail industries is highly preferred (B2C experience). - Strong interpersonal skills and a focus on sales and customer service. - Field sales experience with a proven track record of increasing sales and revenue. - Experience in distributor and channel partner management is an added advantage. - Exposure to the startup environment is beneficial. - Problem-solving skills with a focus on impact. - Strong ethics and discretion in customer dealings. - Drive for results with the ability to demonstrate success relative to targets. - Basic understanding of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
