Role Overview

The Channel Development Manager will be responsible for developing and managing distribution channels


Key Responsibilities

  • Expand and manage distributors, sub-distributors, wholesalers, and rural outlets
  • Drive primary and secondary sales across assigned territories
  • Improve product availability, visibility, and execution in rural and urban markets
  • Manage distributor performance, stock hygiene, credit, and ROI
  • Execute trade schemes, promotions, and new launches
  • Lead and monitor field teams through joint working and reviews
  • Track competition, market trends, and ensure timely reporting via SFA/CRM tools


Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in detergent and cleaning categories
  • Proven expertise in rural & urban channel development
  • Distributor management and negotiation skills
  • Strong execution and field orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and SFA systems


Qualification

  • Graduate (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred)
  • 5–6 years of relevant FMCG experience; Bihar market exposure preferred
