Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven Category Manager - Home Care & Personal Care (HPC) to lead, optimize, and scale one of our most critical FMCG categories. You will own the core AAP metrics (Assortment, Availability, Pricing), drive category P&L, build strong partnerships with national & regional brands, and unlock monetisation levers across our offline stores, app, and quick-commerce channels.
This is a high-ownership role that blends analytics, negotiation, consumer understanding, and strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities
A.Category P&L Ownership
- Own the full HPC category P&L grow sales mix, expand penetration, and improve margins.
- Build pricing frameworks ensuring competitiveness across geographies while balancing margins.
- Drive monetisation initiatives including visibility income, brand partnerships, and promotional revenue.
B.Assortment, Merchandising & Customer Experience
- Build geography-specific HPC assortments based on customer needs, seasonality, and consumption patterns.
- Optimize merchandising and shelf layouts to maximize visibility, conversion, and price perception.
- Ensure catalogue accuracy, pricing compliance, and SKU productivity across all channels.
C.Vendor Management & Negotiation
- Build strong relationships with FMCG leaders and emerging brands in Home Care and Personal Care.
- Negotiate TOTs, margins, schemes, and exclusive deals to strengthen SuperK s competitive advantage.
- Develop and execute joint business plans with key brands.
D. Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning
- Forecast demand to ensure consistent availability and minimize out-of-stock impact.
- Improve inventory turns by planning buys, managing stock levels, and driving liquidation of aging inventory.
- Work closely with supply chain to ensure smooth replenishment and fill-rate consistency.
E. Market Insights & Competition Benchmarking
- Track competitor pricing, assortment, trade schemes, and new product launches.
- Identify whitespace opportunities, new brands, and rising trends to enhance category relevance.
- Continuously refine assortment and execution frameworks to stay ahead of competition.
What You ll Need
- 6+ years of experience in FMCG category management, buying, or trade marketing, with specialisation in Home Care / Personal Care.
- Strong understanding of HPC consumption patterns and ability to tailor assortments to regional needs.
- Proven ability to manage category P&L and deliver commercial outcomes.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with strong supplier networks.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and comfort making data-backed decisions.
- Understanding of modern retail, omnichannel execution, and digital commerce ecosystems.
- Ability to pitch SuperK s differentiated retail + tech ecosystem confidently to brand partners.
