Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Category Manager to lead and grow our Marketplace business within the BI Worldwide Rewards Domain. This role will manage end-to-end category operations, vendor partnerships, assortment planning, analytics, and P&L management; while ensuring we deliver a strong and relevant product selection to our participants for incentives, rewards, and recognition programs. You will work across major product categories such as Consumer Durables, Home Appliances, White Goods, Gadgets, Household Products, Lifestyle, Luggage, Premium & Luxury Goods, and more. You will be responsible for Category Strategy & Management ¢ Build and execute a complete category strategy covering product selection, pricing, margins, and profitability. Track market trends, customer preferences, and competitor landscape to recommend the right assortment and SKUs. Manage the full product lifecyclefrom sourcing and onboarding to performance reviews and deactivation. ¢ ¢ Identify and shortlist the right brands for the marketplace and corporate gifting requirements. Develop and maintain strong vendor and brand relationships across Consumer Durables, Electronics, Appliances, and Lifestyle categories. E-commerce Operations & Performance ¢ ¢ Ensure high-quality product listings with correct specifications, descriptions, and visuals. Monitor key metrics such as revenue, product margins, conversions, inventory health, and participants satisfaction. ¢ ¢ Work with supply chain and operation teams to manage inventory, forecasting, and stock availability. Support vendor onboarding, documentation, product uploads, and SLA compliance. Financial & Analytical Acumen ¢ ¢ Own the category P&L with responsibility for revenue growth, margins, and cost control. Use analytics and tools to evaluate performance, identify growth opportunities, and improve pricing, selection, and promotions. ¢ Conduct periodic business reviews to track performance against goals. Client Servicing & Cross-Functional Collaboration ¢ Work closely with Sales, Client Servicing, and Account Management teams to understand client program needs and recommend the right products. ¢ ¢ Support large client orders with assortment planning, brand options, and alternatives. Coordinate with Marketing to create promotional plans and merchandising campaigns.
Team Management Manage and support the team involved in sourcing, marketplace, catalogue on client ¢ requirements. What skills & experience youll bring to us ¢ ¢ Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years as a Category Manager, Buyer, or Merchandiser in an E-commerce or Retail environment. Strong knowledge of brands in Consumer Durables, Home Appliances, White Goods, Gadgets, Lifestyle, Luggage, and related categories. ¢ ¢ ¢ Proven experience managing marketplace operations and vendor onboarding. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and partnerships. Good understanding of e-commerce performance levers, assortment planning, and online merchandising. ¢ ¢ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and create actionable insights. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications ¢ ¢ Graduate / (MBA preferred). Experience in Ecommerce, Retail, Marketplace, Corporate Gifting, Rewards, Incentives or Loyalty Industry is a strong advantage.
