🔧 Key Responsibilities

🌿 Category Management

• Own SKU selection, range expansion, pricing, and product freshness across stores and online
• Monitor and improve category margin, wastage levels, availability, and fill rates
• Create planograms and category display SOPs for in-store experience
  

🚚 Vendor & Procurement Strategy

• Build and manage a robust vendor network (mandi suppliers, aggregators, direct farmers)
• Drive daily and weekly procurement at optimized rates and quality
• Establish centralized procurement SOPs
  

🛍️ In-Store Operations

• Define and maintain SOPs for handling, grading, trimming, cold storage, and merchandising
• Conduct regular quality audits, freshness checks, and team training
• Standardize packaging and hygiene standards for F&V displays
  

📲 Online Category Experience

• Curate F&V assortment for quick-commerce experience (right pack sizes, combos, SKUs)
• Coordinate with tech & ops teams to ensure daily price updates, stock sync, and delivery quality
• Optimize basket-building, combo offers, and subscription models for app customers
  

📈 Performance Monitoring & Growth

• Create and manage dashboards for category metrics – wastage %, fill rate, margins, complaints
• Launch seasonal campaigns (e.g., Mango Season, Organic Week)
• Analyze customer feedback and adjust assortment or sourcing accordingly
  

✅ Who You Are

• 3–6 years experience in F&V category management, retail buying, or supply chain
• Experience in retail/QSR/cloud kitchen/mandi operations strongly preferred
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and data handling skills
• Knowledge of grading, perishables shelf life, and cold chain handling
• On-ground, hands-on mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
