Category Associate

The Category Associate supports the category team in driving sales, profitability, and market share for assigned product categories. This role involves data analysis, supplier coordination, inventory management, and execution of category plans to ensure an optimal product mix, pricing, and promotional strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Category Operations

• Support the Category Manager in planning and executing category strategies aligned with business goals.
• Maintain product listings, pricing, and content accuracy across systems and platforms.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory.

1. Vendor & Product Management

• Coordinate with vendors for product onboarding, pricing negotiations, and promotional activities.
• Track supplier performance and ensure timely delivery and compliance with agreed terms.
• Support sourcing and procurement activities for new product introductions.

1. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze sales trends, pricing, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
• Generate regular performance reports (sales, margins, returns, etc.) for category reviews.
• Support data-driven decision-making through insights and actionable recommendations.

1. Promotions & Merchandising

• Assist in planning and executing marketing and promotional campaigns.
• Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to ensure effective in-store and online merchandising.
• Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements.

1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with supply chain, finance, marketing, and operations to deliver category targets.
