Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Catastrophe Modeling Lead

to drive risk assessment strategies and support decision-making within the

insurance or reinsurance industry

. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in

catastrophe modeling software

, strong analytical capabilities, and

leadership experience

in managing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage
catastrophe modeling
activities to assess risk exposure and inform business strategy.

Utilize
industry-leading catastrophe modeling tools
such as
RMS, AIR, or similar
to analyze risk scenarios.

Collaborate with
internal and external stakeholders
to communicate risk insights and support underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management decisions.

Provide
strategic recommendations
to leadership based on catastrophe risk insights.

Identify and implement
process improvements
to enhance efficiency and accuracy in catastrophe modeling.

Mentor and develop a
high-performing catastrophe modeling team
, fostering a culture of excellence.

Deliver
clear and compelling presentations
to executives, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

Advanced degree
in
Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field
.

Extensive experience
in
catastrophe modeling
within the
insurance or reinsurance industry
.

Proven
leadership experience
in managing and developing teams.

Technical & Soft Skills:

Strong proficiency in
catastrophe modeling software
(e.g.,
RMS, AIR, or similar
).

Excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills
with the ability to drive process improvements.

Strong
strategic thinking abilities
, contributing to broader business objectives.

Outstanding
written and verbal communication skills
