Sales Cashier – Roles and ResponsibilitiesCompany: VFM Honda Department: Sales / Customer Support Reporting To: Sales Manager / Accounts Head 🎯 Primary Objective:To manage customer billing and receipt processes efficiently and accurately while maintaining transparency, professionalism, and customer satisfaction in all monetary transactions related to vehicle sales. ✅ Key Roles and Responsibilities:💰 Cash & Payment HandlingHandle all incoming payments from customers related to vehicle sales, booking advances, accessories, insurance, etc. Accept payments via cash, cheque, card, UPI, bank transfer, or financing institutions. Issue system-generated receipts to customers for every transaction. Ensure daily reconciliation of cash and bank receipts. 🧾 Billing & DocumentationGenerate accurate sales invoices, proforma invoices, and payment receipts through DMS (Dealer Management System). Maintain proper documentation for all payments received, including advance receipts, final payment, and pending balances. Coordinate with the sales team to ensure customer details and billing instructions are correct before invoicing. 💼 Coordination with Internal TeamsWork closely with: Sales executives for booking updates and payment follow-up. Accounts department for reconciliation and reporting. Insurance and RTO staff for vehicle delivery clearance based on payment status. 📊 Reporting & ReconciliationPrepare and submit daily cash summary reports to the accounts team. Maintain records of daily transactions and submit end-of-day cash balance. Ensure there are no cash or payment discrepancies. 🙋‍♀️ Customer Interaction & SupportPolitely interact with customers during payment, addressing queries or issues related to receipts, billing, or pending amounts. Ensure customers receive clear and accurate payment breakdowns. 🔐 Compliance & ConfidentialityFollow company policy on cash handling, data privacy, and audit procedures. Safeguard customer and company financial data. 🧠 Skills & RequirementsBasic accounting knowledge and familiarity with billing software or DMS (such as AutoDMS, DealerMate, etc.). Accuracy in handling cash and numerical data. Good communication skills in English and local language. Professional behavior and grooming standards as per showroom policies. Trustworthy and punctual.
