Position Overview: The Head ESG will be responsible for formulating, implementing, and overseeing the ESG strategy across the business. This leadership role entails integrating ESG principles into core operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and enhancing long-term value creation while aligning with global sustainability benchmarks. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive ESG strategy aligned with the companys vision, values, and sectoral priorities. Define ESG objectives and KPIs; monitor performance across projects and functions. Integrate ESG principles into business planning, design, procurement, execution, and risk frameworks. Ensure compliance with all applicable ESG-related laws, regulations, and standards. Lead ESG reporting and disclosures as the defined frameworks. Manage internal and external ESG audits and reporting processes. Identify ESG risks and opportunities; develop policies and mitigation strategies. Foster internal awareness and training programs on sustainability and ESG compliance. Drive sustainability initiatives such as Net Zero commitments, Energy & Water conservation, effective resource utilization & Safe handling of Wastewater disposal management, Waste Management. Align CSR initiatives with Corporate ESG goals to drive impactful community development. Promote innovation in sustainable water infrastructure and construction practices. Collaborate with project teams to implement site-level sustainability actions. Build and mentor an ESG team; support cross-functional departments on ESG-related matters. Monitor emerging ESG trends, regulations, and industry best practices for continuous improvement. Desired Skills & Competencies: Strong strategic and analytical thinking; ability to drive change across complex systems. Proven leadership with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Deep knowledge of Indian regulatory landscape, global ESG frameworks, and sustainability tools. Certifications in ESG/Sustainability (e.g., CSP, CEnv) preferred. Experience in infrastructure, water, or heavy engineering sectors is a strong advantage. Show more Show less
