About Springboard

to bridge the world’s skills gap

The Opportunity

At Springboard we are expanding our portfolio of reskilling and upskilling programs in Allied Health and Tech, through consumer and partnership offerings. As we scale, our learning ecosystem must evolve quickly — especially our central learning platform, Canvas.

We are looking for a highly skilled, solution-oriented LMS Administrator with deep experience managing Canvas in a complex, fast-moving environment. This role blends platform expertise, operational excellence, systems thinking, and creative problem-solving to ensure Springboard’s learning experiences run smoothly and can be rapidly adapted for new programs, enterprise /channel partner requirements (e.g., Amazon Career Choice), and instructional models.

If you’re a proactive, detail-oriented technical operator who is a Canvas subject matter expert, thrives in ambiguous environments, and can build systems that “just work,” this role offers the chance to shape the backbone of Springboard’s learning experience.

LMS Administrator Role

high-functioning, organized, adaptable operator

To be successful, you should have strong technical skills, excellent troubleshooting instincts, and a customer-centric mindset. You’ll collaborate daily with cross-functional teams — Learning Experience, Product, Engineering, Program Operations, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities1. Canvas Platform Ownership

  • Serve as Springboard’s

    primary Canvas administrator

, owning configuration, permissions, course setup, sub-accounts, and integrations.
  • Manage and optimize Canvas features, settings, and workflows to support new program launches, improvements, and enterprise partner requirements.
  • Oversee

LTI, SSO, API, and third-party tool integrations

    , ensuring stability and security.
  • Own the relationship with Instructure to understand the Canvas product roadmap, own licensing negotiations, and escalate technical issues when needed
  • Help educate internal teams on new features that may be available for use

2. Technical Troubleshooting & Support

  • Provide timely, high-quality support to internal stakeholders (LX, Ops, instructors, mentors, program success teams)
  • Investigate issues related to course configuration, user access, grade passback, automations, or LTI tools — and resolve them with minimal disruption, working with partner teams when necessary
  • When needed, direct internal stakeholders to documentation required to solve an issue or complete a task

3. Customization & Problem Solving

Translate business needs into Canvas-based solutions using features like:

  • Blueprint courses
  • Canvas APIs
  • Custom JS/CSS (when appropriate)
  • User roles & permissions
  • Automations and SIS imports
  • Design and maintain

    scalable templates and workflows

for new program areas (e.g., Medical Assisting, Pharmacy Tech, Sterile Tech, Data Driven Strategic Thinking).

4. Quality, Stability & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate systems for tracking issues, requests, releases, and platform updates.
  • Partner with Learning Experience and Product teams to ensure courses are built, tested, and deployed with operational excellence.
  • Proactively monitor Canvas updates and recommend improvements or changes internal teams should prepare for.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to evaluate new tools, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Align with Program Operations to ensure learners and instructional staff have a seamless experience across the student lifecycle.
  • Support enterprise implementations (e.g., Amazon, University partners) by configuring Canvas environments that align with contractual or instructional requirements

What We’re Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience administering industry standard LMS (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, D2L) and at least 3 years experience with Canvas

  • Strong problem-solving ability with a “figure it out,” mindset
  • Familiarity with Canvas APIs, LTI tools (Canvas Apps), SSO, and data workflows
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and operate in a

    fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Comfort “pushing” or following up with internal/external partners when needed to move work forward
  • Experience interfacing with Instructure team as primary (client) point of contact.
  • Comfortable to overlap with

    US time zones

    .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting scaling learning organizations (online bootcamps, employer-sponsored learning)
  • Experience with SCORM, instructional design workflows, or course QA processes.
  • Prior experience with healthcare or workforce development programs is a plus
