Job Description

Department: Computer-Aided Engineering / Product Development

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate CAE Engineer with hands-on experience in structural analysis, meshing, and simulation methodologies. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate the structural strength, durability, vibration, and performance of components and assemblies. The role involves collaborating closely with design, testing, and manufacturing teams to provide engineering insights for design improvement and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-processing (geometry cleanup, meshing) and post-processing for static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses.
  • Conduct linear / nonlinear structural simulations, modal, harmonic, and random vibration analyses depending on project requirement.
  • Generate CAE reports with detailed engineering conclusions and design recommendations.
  • Validate CAE simulation results with physical test data when applicable.
  • Work with design teams to support design modifications based on CAE findings.
  • Apply material modeling, boundary conditions, contact definitions, and load cases appropriate for real-life applications.
  • Execute DOE, optimization, and what-if case studies to improve design efficiency.
  • Knowledge of FEA standards, solver stability, and convergence criteria.
  • Participate in technical review meetings and prepare engineering documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering.
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in CAE / FEA analysis in a product engineering environment.

  • Strong expertise in meshing techniques (tet/hex, shell/solid, midsurfacing, quality criteria).
  • Understanding of linear & nonlinear analysis, contact mechanics, material behavior (elastic / plastic).
  • Familiarity with fatigue and durability analysis workflow.
  • Good knowledge of engineering mechanics, strength of materials, and machine design.
  • Ability to interpret CAD models, GD&T drawings, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

  • Experience with Simcenter 3D, Nastran, Abaqus, HyperMesh, ANSA, LS-Dyna, OptiStruct.
  • Exposure to CFD fundamentals or multiphysics simulations.
