Job Title: CAD Engineer
This role involves the creation and maintenance of master cross sections and layouts for transmission, air intake systems, fuel, and cooling systems of powertrains. The position requires performing packaging, clearance/interference, and design rule checks for powertrain components. Responsibilities also include updating 3D models and drawings as per engineering change requests, checking drawing prints according to drafting standards, and conducting stack-up analysis for powertrain systems and subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain master cross sections and layouts for powertrain systems.
- Conduct packaging and clearance/interference checks for powertrain components.
- Update 3D models and drawings in response to engineering change requests.
- Check drawing prints for compliance with drafting standards.
- Perform stack-up analysis for powertrain systems and subsystems.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in CATIA and 3DX software.
- Experience with powertrain analysis, 3D and 2D drawing.
- Strong understanding of powertrain systems such as transmission, air intake systems, fuel, and cooling systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
- 2 to 6 years of experience in powertrain systems.
- Experience in creating new drawings and vehicle packaging.
- Proficiency in engineering change management and stack-up analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
