Role Description

Southern Lubrication Pvt. Ltd. seeks an experienced Buyer to join the procurement team responsible for purchasing industrial components for lubrication systems and piping skids. The role requires strong ownership of supplier relationships, cost negotiation, and timely procurement of engineering items such as pumps, valves, motors, pipes, fittings, instruments, and fabricated parts.  

You will collaborate closely with the engineering, production, and stores teams to ensure availability of materials that meet project timelines and quality standards. This position is ideal for candidates who understand the manufacturing supply chain and have hands-on experience managing suppliers in engineering-driven industries.  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.  
• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing setup—preferably in industrial equipment, skid packages, or system manufacturing—in Oil and Gas/Power Sector. 
• Must have hands-on experience in buying engineered parts such as pumps, valves, motors, pipes, instruments, and fabrication items.  
• Proven experience in negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier development.  
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand material specifications.  
• Strong communication and coordination skills across internal teams and external suppliers.  
• Proactive follow-up approach and willingness to travel for supplier visits or to expedite materials when required.  
• Organized, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple purchase requirements effectively.
