Purpose/Objective


    Buyer Role at BUTC for AEML – Civil Packages

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Responsible for procurement of civil-related packages, ensuring timely sourcing, vendor development, and cost optimization while adhering to quality and compliance standards. Buyer (Civil Packages): Procurement Activities: - Handle medium to low-value procurement for civil works and materials. - Issue and manage tender documents, evaluate bids, and finalize contracts. - Conduct price negotiations with vendors to achieve cost efficiency. Coordination: - Liaise with GCC / GCP and other internal stakeholders for smooth execution. - Ensure alignment with project timelines and budgetary requirements. Vendor Development & Estimation: - Identify and develop new vendors for civil packages. - Prepare package estimates prior to negotiations to ensure competitive pricing. Sourcing & Compliance: - Execute sourcing through SAP Ariba. - Coordinate with GCC, MDG & HO procurement team for approvals and compliance. - Maintain vendor relationships and monitor post-order activities for timely delivery and quality adherence.

Qualifications and Experience


    Qualification: - B.E. (Civil Engineering) Additional Skills / Certifications: - Knowledge of SAP Ariba and procurement processes preferred. Experience: - Total: 3 – 5 years - Relevant: 1.5 – 2 years in civil procurement - Industry Exposure: 1.5 – 2 years in construction/infrastructure projects
